When designing a room, whether for myself or clients, I really enjoy mixing in global elements if I can! I think pieces inspired by or directly from other countries bring a level of sophistication, interest, and fun!
I was born I Johannesburg, South Africa and so African decor will always have a special place in my heart. I wanted to create a shop the look that meant a lot to me and so I found a lot of affordable pieces on Amazon. The grasscloth wallpaper, round wall baskets, and kuba cloth pillows always remind me of South Africa! When decorating a room in your home, try and see if you can incorporate global pieces from other countries.
